Who Doesn’t Love a Good Mason Jar? For EVERYTHING.

So everyone on Pinterest has seen this, right?

Yeah, I thought so.  Its rustic, easy to DIY, and SO cute.  So of course we here at Pinterest Schminterest added it to our “Must Try” list.  Well, I finally got around to it.

Whatcha Need

1 Mason Jar

1 picture - vertical

contact paper

olive oil proportionate to the size mason jar you have

First I laminated my picture.  I don’t think you HAVE to do this.  But this is a nice print from a nice printer, not just some Target or Walmart replica, so I didn’t want to run the risk of it getting ruined.  Its a wedding picture, obviously.  Photography by Ro was the photographer.  If you are in the Philadelphia area she’s great.  Check her out. She also does family portraits and has great packages for newborn/infants.  So, anyway.  Laminate that bad boy on up.

It doesn’t have to be perfect because the next step is to trim the picture down so that it will fit nicely into the jar.

Now just add it to the jar and keep trimming until you get it how you want it.  You don’t want it curved against the back.  You want it to be able to stand tall.  Sorry for all the glare on the pictures.  I have windows in my office and no blinds behind the curtains so.. it is what it is.  You get the idea.

Now just dump in your olive oil and you’re all done!!  I have to say.  I LOVE the outcome.  I’d like to try it again with a black and white picture.
